Pensive

You can pretty much gauge how busy our day is by me not posting. We're trying to get Catherine's sleep schedule on more of a schedule. Tonight she was asleep by 9PM. Last night it was well after midnight when we put her to bed! Hopefully no more of that...

Catherine Standing

Here is a picture of Catherine standing without pulling up. It's hard to have the camera ready right when she's doing it!

This is not Catherine falling, by the way. When she gets really excited she flaps her arms up and down. It's very funny to watch!

Standing

It's been building slowly, from pulling up on things to holding for balance while she stands to just popping up onto her feet. Catherine has been getting so good at standing and has just been standing up without holding anything at all. We'll have to post video one of these days!

Friends

Gustav likes to get in Catherine's play pen sometimes and this time it piqued her interest! They like to play with each other through the bars of whatever jail she happens to have been consigned to, or in this case he is consigned to!

We Yell

This is what our house sounds like lately. Catherine has learned to yell to express displeasure (and sometimes excitement)

Twenty. Five. Pounds.

I hopped on the scale today with Catherine and then alone. The difference was 25 pounds. Our little girl is getting to be a big girl!

Wicked Grin

Today for the first time Catherine stood up without pulling up on something! She just sort of got up, stood there for a few seconds, then sat back down again. Neat!

Not Quite Sure

...exactly what Catherine is seeing in the garbage can, but she certainly looks wowed. It's always fun to see what excites her!

New Jail

Before I was a parent, I used to think things like this were bad. Maybe a sign of neglect or laziness, certainly they seemed inhumane. Catherine really enjoys her new jail though--it gives her something to pull up on and scale around the sides of, and she and Gustav even play through the holes in the fence. Funny what you understand once you are the one in context!
