Indirectly anyway, by lowering the mattress. This is the height it was before, but we finally lowered the mattress to the very lowest setting. Not newsworthy to anyone else perhaps, but that is what qualifies as news in these parts!

7 Months

Catherine is 7 months old today. Time is passing so quickly, we can't believe how big she already is! She's been pulling up to standing a lot lately and making motor-boat sounds for minutes on end. I think she's actually outgrown this outfit already too; I keep pulling things on her and thinking it's either the last time she'll wear them or just taking them right back off of her!

I'm going to miss all those gums! I'm actually not quite sure if she's gotten one tooth or two--I feel two little sharp spots but between her wiggling and moving her lips and tongue, it's so hard to get a good look.

Betoothed

Catherine got her first tooth today! It's no wonder she had trouble sleeping peacefully last night. That little thing is razor sharp! And this picture is why we also have to rearrange her room (or at least the changing table) today:

Today Catherine spontaneously started to make kissing noises. She did it several times throughout the day. I don't know if she knows that it means anything, but it's cute none the less!

Much Better Now

Catherine did have a fever over the weekend from her vaccinations but she is feeling much better now! Now it is just a question of getting her back more or less to her regular sleeping schedule since she has been up later and later each night. If we were college-students I think this would be awesome, but as it is, it is very tiring on us!

I thought these pictures of Catherine and Ansel were so cute, and I thought I would post both, just in case I end up missing a day.

6 Month Checkup

Catherine had her 6 month checkup yesterday and of course all of her shots. She was very tired which made it much harder on her, but at least she went right to sleep afterward and slept for most of the day. Poor thing! The pediatrician is very impressed that she's already crawling on hands and knees and that she's pulling up on things.

6 month stats:
length 28.25" (.718m) - 99th percentile
weight 20lb 3.8oz (9.18kg) 98th percentile
head circumference 17.32" (44cm) - 86th percentile

Here is a picture of Catherine sleeping around 4 1/2 months. I was just taken with how she could get into the funniest positions and go to sleep! No wonder she misses her crib bumpers...
